These Terms of Use govern your use of toolpicker.co.uk (the “site”). By using the site, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

ToolPicker is an independent UK power tool comparison website run by ToolPicker Ltd, company no. 17455954, registered in England & Wales. Using the site

You may use ToolPicker for your own personal, non-commercial purposes. You agree not to misuse the site, attempt to disrupt it, or use it in any way that breaks the law.

Accuracy of information

We work hard to keep our specifications and comparisons accurate, drawing on the makers’ own documentation and, where possible, official instruction manuals. Prices come from retailers’ own product feeds, updated daily. However, information is provided for general guidance only and we cannot guarantee it is always complete, current or error-free. Specifications can change, and prices and availability vary constantly between retailers.

Always confirm the specification, price and availability with the retailer before you buy. The details shown on the retailer’s own website at the time of purchase are the ones that apply to your order, not the figures shown on ToolPicker.

Not professional or safety advice

ToolPicker provides product information and buying guidance, not professional, technical or safety advice. Power tools can be dangerous if misused. Always read and follow the manufacturer’s instructions and safety guidance for any tool you buy or use.

Features that save to your device

Some features, such as Compare, Save and My Tools, keep what you add in your own browser. We don’t hold a copy, so we can’t recover it if your browser data is cleared or your device is lost or replaced. If it matters to you, use “Download backup” in My Tools.

Anything you add to My Tools, such as purchase dates, serial numbers, prices paid or notes, is your own record and isn’t checked by us. Warranty dates are worked out from the date you enter and the maker’s published terms, so always check the maker’s own terms. The insurance list is a convenience for your own records, not a valuation or proof of ownership.

Affiliate links

The site contains affiliate links, which means we may earn a commission on qualifying purchases at no extra cost to you. This never affects our comparisons or verdicts. See our Affiliate Disclosure for full details.

Intellectual property

All content on ToolPicker, including text, verdicts, comparisons, graphics and illustrations, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by copyright. You may not copy, republish or redistribute our content without our prior written permission. “ToolPicker”, our logo and our tagline are our trademarks. All other brand names, product names and logos are the property of their respective owners and are used for identification and comparison purposes only.

Links to other websites

ToolPicker links to third-party websites, including retailers. We are not responsible for the content, products, pricing or privacy practices of any third-party site, and a link does not imply our endorsement. Your dealings with any retailer are between you and that retailer.

Limitation of liability

ToolPicker is an information and comparison service; we do not sell any of the products featured. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the site, your reliance on any information on it, the loss of anything saved in your browser, or any purchase you make from a third-party retailer. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be excluded under law.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The “last updated” date above shows when they were last revised. Continued use of the site means you accept the current terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England & Wales, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England & Wales.
