In short

BITURBO is not a separate battery platform, it’s a high-output tool class within Bosch’s 18V Professional range. BITURBO tools include the largest 18V angle grinders, SDS-Max rotary hammers, big circular saws, and demolition tools that previously required corded power.

A BITURBO tool will run on any Bosch 18V Professional battery, but it’s specifically engineered to deliver full performance only with the ProCORE range (5.5Ah and above). Pairing a BITURBO tool with a standard GBA battery is possible but the tool will throttle output to protect the battery. The recommended combination is BITURBO + ProCORE 8.0Ah or ProCORE 12.0Ah for sustained heavy applications.

The BITURBO tag exists as a flag for tool selection, it indicates a Bosch Professional 18V tool that requires ProCORE batteries for full output. There are no separate BITURBO batteries; the entire 18V Professional battery range applies.
