The verdictOur take

The GCM 12 GDL is Bosch's 305mm dual-bevel saw on the Axial-Glide arm rather than rails, a design that needs no rear clearance yet still gives a big 341 × 104mm crosscut at 90°, with a laser, brake and soft start. The trade-off is weight, as at 32.1kg it is the heaviest saw in this group. We rate it a strong high-capacity choice for fixed workshops where bench depth is tight; the Makita LS1219L cuts wider (382mm) and is lighter, while DeWalt's DWS780 is the conventional-rail benchmark.
