The verdictOur take

The original Bosch 165mm cordless saw, now superseded by the brushless GKS 18V-57-2 range. On spec it runs a brushed motor at 3400rpm with 57mm of depth at 90°, and it is rail-compatible, with a base that takes Festool and Makita rails as well as Bosch and Mafell. We keep it listed for old-against-new comparison, but the newer brushless models add speed, a brake and electronic safety features, so if you are buying today one of those is the better choice.
