The PST 700 E pairs a 500W motor with variable speed (500–3,100 spm) and cuts 70mm in wood and 4mm in steel. It has no pendulum action, unlike the PST 800 PEL, which cuts 80mm in wood and 5mm in steel. Against the fixed-speed PST 650 it adds speed control and 5mm more depth in wood.
