Physical & Build
Makita's 230mm grinder on the twin-18V system: two LXT batteries combined to 36V to drive a 9in disc without leaving the 18V platform. Brushless, with an electric brake, soft start and AFT, geared down to 6,000 rpm for the larger wheel. It is a big tool, 5.9 kg with two 4.0Ah batteries and 7.0 m/s² vibration, so it earns its place on serious cutting and chasing rather than handheld finishing.
