The verdictOur take

The DJV186 is Makita's light-duty 18V jigsaw, 1.6kg bare, with an 18mm stroke and 65mm wood capacity. That is half the 135mm depth of the DJV184 and DJV180, so it suits sheet material and thinner stock. Makita gives 7.5 m/s² cutting boards and 85 dB(A) LpA.
