Performance
Physical & Build
The DTD156 is a brushed 18V LXT impact driver, a single-speed 155Nm tool and one of Makita's entry-level options, though at 143mm it is longer than the brushless models. Being brushed, runtime and motor life trail the brushless line. We rate it an entry-level LXT choice for lighter use; for better efficiency and mode control, the brushless DTD157 or DTD173 are worth the step up.
