The verdictOur take

The HP002G is the compact drill of Makita's 40V XGT range: 70Nm and 13mm in masonry at 1.3kg bare, so it is closer to an 18V drill in size than to the heavyweight HP001G and HP003G. It makes sense for XGT owners who want one battery system for a lighter drill.
