The verdictOur take

The JV002G is the top-handle version of Makita's 40V XGT jigsaw, matching the JV001G on stroke (26mm), depth (135mm) and top speed (3,500 spm). It is 0.1kg heavier bare at 2.0kg and Makita gives 6.1 m/s² cutting boards against 4.6 on the barrel-grip JV001G. Against the 18V DJV182 the cutting figures are the same, so the choice is mostly about battery platform.
