Chuck & Drilling
Physical & Build
The DCD805 is DeWalt's mainstream 18V XR brushless combi, a 2-speed 90Nm drill at a manageable 1.34kg bare, drilling 55mm in wood with a metal chuck. It is the current core combi that replaced the long-serving DCD796 and suits the bulk of trade drilling and driving. We rate it the sensible default for most XR owners; step up to the 3-speed DCD1007 for heavy torque, or down to the lighter DCD709 if you want a more compact body.
