Physical & Build
The Festool TID 18 is a brushless 180Nm impact driver with three speeds plus a T-mode that drops revs for self-tapping screws to stop them snapping, and a quick-change 1/4in hex chuck. It is built to Festool's usual standard, aimed at users already in the system. We rate it a refined choice for finish-focused trades on Festool 18V; for more torque, the DeWalt DCF887 or Milwaukee FID3 hit harder, though without the T-mode finesse.
