Physical & Build
The TS 55 is the benchmark 160mm plunge saw that most track-saw accessories are designed around, cutting 55mm at 90° and 50mm on the rail. It uses a traditional riving knife rather than Festool's newer electronic KickbackStop, with vibration under 2.5 m/s² and mid-pack 93 dB(A) noise. We rate it the safe all-rounder for cabinet and second-fix work; step up to the TS 60 for more depth, or pick the TS 60 or cordless TSC 55 if you want the electronic blade-stop.
