Physical & Build
This is the cordless TS 55: the same 55mm depth and 160mm blade, but running on Festool's 18V/36V twin-battery system and adding the electronic KickbackStop blade sensor the corded TS 55 lacks. At 3.5kg bare it is the lightest Festool here, one of the quieter saws at 91 dB(A), and its Bluetooth battery can auto-start a paired CT extractor with no trigger lead. We would point cordless-first installers and kitchen fitters here; if you only work on mains, the corded TS 55 covers the same cuts.
