Performance
What It Can Bore
Physical & Build
The Makita DDA460 is a twin 18V (36V) LXT brushless stud & joist angle drill, with 136Nm, two speeds up to 1,400rpm, a 13mm keyed chuck and a 133mm head length, in a case. It takes self-feed bits to 118mm, hole saws to 159mm and augers to 50mm, at 4.7kg bare. We rate it the heavy-duty LXT choice for big holes through joists; the DDA450 is far lighter at 2.9kg for smaller holes, and the DA001G is the 40V XGT equivalent with the same capacities.
