Physical & Build
The full-feature brushed version of Makita's 165mm LXT saw, adding back what the entry-level DSS611 leaves out. On spec it matches it at 57mm depth, 3700rpm and a 0 to 50° bevel, but includes an LED work light, electric brake and dust blower, and runs a touch quieter at 94 dB(A). It stays a brushed motor, so it gives up efficiency and runtime to the brushless DHS660 and DHS680. A sensible mid-point for a Makita user who wants the working conveniences without going brushless.
