Physical & Build
The LS1040N is a non-slide 260mm compound saw, the simplest of the group and a light 12.6kg, with soft start and a brake but a limited 130 × 69mm crosscut because it does not slide. It is a chop-and-bevel saw for narrower stock, not wide boards. We rate it a dependable entry-level choice for trim and framing where slide width is not needed; any of the sliding 216mm or 260mm saws here will handle wider material.
