Performance
Physical & Build
The TW161D is Makita's 12V Max CXT brushless impact wrench, stepping up to a 1/2in square drive with 165Nm fastening and 290Nm nut-busting torque across two speeds, and still compact at 0.8kg bare. The brushless motor and larger drive make it genuinely useful for wheel nuts and heavier fixings on a 12V platform. We rate it the pick of Makita's two CXT wrenches for real torque; the smaller TW060D is the lighter option for light-duty fastening.
