The verdictOur take

Milwaukee's heavy-duty 203mm metal-cutting saw, a specialist tool for steel studs, sections, pipe and channel rather than timber. On spec it runs a slower 4000rpm suited to metal and cuts to 66mm, with an enclosed metal guard, which means it does not connect to a dust extractor. Two things to plan around: it does not bevel, and at 97.2 dB(A) and 5.89kg bare it is both loud and heavy, so it is firmly a job-specific saw. It sits on the M18 platform. One for metalwork and M and E trades, not a crossover tool for wood.
