Physical & Build
DeWalt's compact 140mm metal-cutting saw, for lighter metalwork like studs, conduit and thin section. On spec it runs at 3700rpm with 43mm of depth and, unlike the larger DCS383, it does not bevel, keeping it simple and one-job focused. It is noticeably quieter than the bigger metal saw at 78 dB(A), though vibration is higher at 3.1 m/s² as is typical for metal cutting. It comes with a metal blade but no rip fence, on the 18V XR platform. A handy tool for a metal-stud or M and E fit-out where the larger saw is more than the job needs.
