How it was sold
The same tool, sold in different ways.
The M18 FQID is Milwaukee's first-generation SURGE, a hydraulic oil-pulse driver that runs much quieter and smoother than a standard impact, rated at 50Nm. Milwaukee has replaced it with the Gen2 FIDRQ, which has far more torque, and the FQID has gone from the main UK retailers apart from the odd clearance unit. Oil-pulse still suits indoor fit-out and noise-sensitive work.
