Performance
Physical & Build
The DCF840 is a compact single-speed 18V XR brushless driver at a light 0.88kg bare, putting out 192Nm with a fast 3200rpm for quick, repetitive driving. It drops the multi-speed modes and Precision Drive assist of the DCF887. We rate it a good everyday driver for XR owners who do not need mode control; for assist and three speeds, step up to the DCF887 or compact DCF850.
