The DCF870 is a quiet hydraulic oil-pulse driver, using an oil cushion instead of a hammer-and-anvil so it runs far quieter and with less hand vibration, in a compact 100mm body. Its 56Nm suits trim, cabinetry and indoor work rather than heavy bolting. We rate it the pick for noise-sensitive fit-out on XR; Milwaukee's SURGE FIDRQ is the rival oil-pulse driver, with more torque, if you are on M18.
