The C3606DPA's headline is depth: bar the big 210mm TS 75 it cuts the deepest of any saw here at 66mm at 90°, running on HiKOKI's 36V MultiVolt battery. It sits in the Festool-pattern rail family (Festool, Makita and Milwaukee tracks), and its dual-groove base will also drop onto Bosch and Mafell rails, so it suits almost any mixed-brand site. It is smooth at under 2.5 m/s², though at 98 dB(A) it is one of the louder saws here, and it weighs 4.5kg bare (5.2kg with a battery). We rate it a strong pick for extra cordless depth and rail flexibility; if quiet running is the priority, the DeWalt DCS520 is far softer.
