The verdictOur take

The DCL181F is Makita's 18V LXT stick vacuum with two speeds and an LED, rated at 23.3 l/s of airflow and 4.2 kPa of suction with a 0.65L container, at 0.8kg bare. It is a light clean-up stick for vans, cabs and site huts, sold body only for anyone already running LXT packs. We rate it a handy light-duty option; the brushless DCL284F moves up to 18 kPa of suction and 125W of suction power, and the DCL182 swaps the container for a reusable 0.5L dust bag.
