Physical & Build
The DDF492 is Makita's heavy-duty 18V LXT brushless drill driver, a 2-speed 130Nm tool reaching 2,100rpm with a 13mm keyless chuck, 21 torque settings and 76mm in wood. It is the highest-torque Makita drill driver here, built for big holes and long screws, and it carries that with 2.0kg bare. We rate it the LXT drill driver for heavy boring and driving; if that weight is too much, the DDF489 gives 73Nm at 1.5kg.
