The verdictOur take

The 125mm version of Makita's keyless X-LOCK grinder on 18V LXT: tool-free disc changes with no spanner, brushless power, soft start, Star Protection and AFT bind-sensing, on a paddle deadman switch. Like its 115mm sibling it skips the electric brake the standard LXT models have, so the wheel coasts to a stop. Choose it if fast disc swaps are worth more to you than a brake; the standard DGA517 keeps the brake on an M14 mount.
