Dust & Rail
The DSP600 runs Makita's twin-18V LXT system to deliver 36V cordless performance, cutting 56mm at 90° on a 165mm blade, and at 0.8 m/s² it is one of the smoothest saws here, second only to the Milwaukee. It is body-only with no electronic kickback tech or riving knife, and Makita does not publish an on-rail depth figure. We would steer LXT-platform trades who already own 18V batteries here; if you want wireless dust extraction, its near-identical sibling the DSP601 adds AWS.
