The DSP601 is the DSP600 with Makita's AWS wireless system added: a wireless unit in the saw that auto-starts a paired Bluetooth extractor the moment you cut, with no trigger lead. Everything else matches the DSP600, with 56mm depth, a 165mm blade, twin-18V 36V power and a class-leading 0.8 m/s² vibration. We would choose it over the DSP600 for anyone running a cordless Makita extractor on site; if you do not need wireless start, the DSP600 makes the same cuts.
