The verdictOur take

The 125mm XGT all-rounder on a paddle deadman switch, the most natural single-grinder choice for anyone building a 40V Makita kit. Brushless throughout, with an electric brake, soft start, Star Protection and AFT, which cuts the motor if the disc binds. Its lock-on slide twin is the GA005 if you grind for long stretches and want to hold the switch on.
