The verdictOur take

DeWalt's larger metal-cutting saw, a dedicated 184mm tool for studs, decking, channel and box section rather than timber. On spec it runs a slower 3900rpm suited to metal and cuts to 67mm, with an integrated chip collector and a bevel to 45°. The number to be aware of is noise: at 107 dB(A) it is the loudest saw in this comparison, so hearing protection is not optional. It ships with a metal blade and blade wrench but no rip fence, on the 18V XR platform. A specialist saw for metalwork, not a crossover tool.
