Physical & Build
The DDF489 is an 18V LXT brushless drill driver, a 2-speed 73Nm tool running to 1,800rpm with a 13mm keyless chuck and 21 torque settings, at 1.5kg bare. It is a mid-weight option for trades who want more torque than the lighter drill drivers without going to a big-bodied drill. We rate it a good all-rounder for LXT owners; for heavier boring the DDF492 goes to 130Nm and 76mm in wood, while the DDF484 is lighter at 1.2kg.
