The verdictOur take

The DCD791 is DeWalt's compact 18V XR brushless drill driver, a 2-speed 70Nm, 460W tool reaching 2,000rpm with a 13mm keyless chuck and 15 torque settings, at 1.1kg bare. It is sold as a kit with two 2.0Ah packs, a charger and a TSTAK kitbox. We rate it a good compact XR drill driver for general drilling and fixing, with 40mm in wood; for more torque and a third gear, the DCD991 is the step up.
