Physical & Build
Makita's brushed 190mm saw on the 18V twin (36V) platform, a deep-cutting framer for users who run two 18V batteries. On spec it is the deepest-cutting of Makita's 190mm saws here at 68.5mm at 90°, with a 0 to 50° bevel and an electric brake, though it runs a brushed motor at 4800rpm. Two numbers stand out: it runs at 97 dB(A), but vibration is remarkably low at 1.0 m/s², level with the HS014G for the lowest figure declared here. A capable deep ripper for a twin-18V user, with the caveat that the brushless DHS782 is faster and rail-ready if you can stretch to it.
