The verdictOur take

Makita's 40V XGT 190mm cordless circular saw, with an LED, AWS and rail compatibility. On spec it runs a brushless motor at 6000rpm with 62.5mm of depth at 90° and a 0 to 48° bevel, and it is AWS ready, so with Makita's wireless unit fitted it starts a paired Makita extractor, plus an LED and native rail compatibility. Noise and vibration are well controlled at 94 dB(A) and 2.5 m/s². If you are buying into XGT and want one saw that does guided cuts, dust-linked extraction and high cordless power, this is it.
